How we are doing
Our plans for improvement over the next three years are outlined in the council's Corporate Plan 2010-13 which can be downloaded below.
The Corporate Plan sets out priorities and areas for improvement for 2010-13. It outlines the council’s key activities to deliver on the things that matter to the people of Salford.
We have organised the corporate plan into two parts:
Part one: Providing the best possible quality of life
Our activities and ambitions are arranged under the council’s pledges, which reflect what local people in Salford have told us are most important to them.
Part two: Improving as an organisation
How we are responding to change, delivering more value for money, developing our workforce, and ensuring that everyone can access our services.
Whilst the Corporate Plan outlines the range of our ambitions over three years, the Cabinet Work Plan is a detailed one-year action plan which sets out how we will help people in Salford beyond the recession. These plans highlight activities set out in directorate business plans.
Our priorities for the city are set out in the Salford Agreement which has been developed with our partners - the Corporate Plan and the Cabinet Work Plan make it clear how the council will contribute to those priorities. All of which are about creating the best possible quality of life for the people of Salford.
