Lindinis and Denbigh area

The proposal for the Lindinis and Denbigh area is to refurbish the properties. As a tenant living in the area, your home will be refurbished to meet the government's Decent Homes Standard. The improvements will ensure that your home will meet and maintain this standard throughout the whole length of the PFI contract (30 years).

The proposals have taken account of:

the responses to the consultation to date
an assessment of the affordability of the proposals across Pendleton
what can be delivered within this area
the need for all properties to meet the Decent Homes Standard as a minimum

What does this mean for me?

When the works begin it is unlikely that you will need to move out of your home as we will aim to cause as little disruption as possible.

When will this happen?

We need to work with you on developing the proposals further and how the works will be delivered. The timing of the refurbishment cannot be decided until the PFI contractor has been selected and has been able to plan the work for the whole of the Pendleton PFI project. At this stage it is likely that all refurbishment will be completed between 2011 and 2016. More specific timescales will be published in late 2010 to early 2011.

What happens if I need any repairs or essential improvements now?

Salix Homes will continue to manage your property and be responsible for any repairs and essential improvements required until the PFI contractor is appointed. You should continue to use all the Salix Homes contact details already supplied to you.
