Planning guidance

The city council is producing a number of Planning Guidance documents. These do not form part of the Local Development Framework but are a material consideration in determining planning applications.
The following Planning Guidance documents have been adopted by the city council or are being produced at present:
- The Exchange, Greengate - This document was adopted on 17 January 2007
- MediaCityUK and Quays Point - This document was adopted on 17 January 2007
- Housing Planning Guidance - This document was adopted on 20 December 2006
- Claremont and Weaste Neighbourhood Plan - This document was adopted on 15 July 2008
- Salford City Council - UDP Policy E5: Development in Established Employment Areas - This Development Control Practice Note expands on Policy E5 of the Unitary Development Plan (UDP). This document will be replaced by the Established Employment Areas SPD which is currently being produced
- Flood Risk - This document was adopted on 1 July 2008
- Salford Central - This document was adopted on 19 March 2008
- Irwell City Park - This is a joint document, produced with Manchester and Trafford councils. It was adopted on 19 March 2008
- Ordsall Riverside - This document was adopted on the 15 July 2008
- Pendleton Planning Guidance - This document was adopted on 11 March 2009
- Shaping Central Salford's Spaces and Places Public Realm Handbook. This document was adopted in February 2009
