Tram

The Quays are served by three stops: Broadway, MediaCityUK and Harbour City. There is a six minute service to The Quays area at peak times.

Bus

Stagecoach run a CityConnect 50 bus service between Salford Quays and East Didsbury. This route links Salford Crescent station to MediaCityUK and calls at Salford Shopping City, linking up with more than 1,000 other buses a day from across the city to improve access for Salford residents.

Cycling/walking

To encourage healthy and green ways of travelling to work or for fun, 300 cycle racks will be in place around the MediaCityUK site. Work is underway on the Irwell River Park project which will mean cyclists and pedestrians can travel along the River Irwell on improved and maintained paths from Manchester city centre to The Quays. Improvements to the M602 underpass will also make it easier for local residents to reach The Quays.

Road

Road access to The Quays has been improved through the new Broadway Link Road offering access from junction 2 of the M602 along with improvements to the M602 roundabout. A new 2,200 space multi-storey car park is now open on-site.
