Salford Sports Village

Section 106 Agreements made within East Salford since April 2000 have resulted in contributions of over £965,000 * being used to deliver a number of improvements within the vicinity of the developments that provided them.

Project: New hard court games area at Salford Sports Village

Section 106 contributions from the residential development on the former Kersal High School site have enabled the construction of a multi-use hard court area at the Sports Village complex. These new facilities have enhanced the range of sporting activities available to the residents of East Salford and beyond.

Project: New all weather football pitch at Albert Park

Section 106 contributions have enabled the extensive upgrading of the all weather pitch in Albert Park in order to provide a modern and well used facility. These contributions had been received from a development adjacent to the park.

Please note: some developments can affect the wider community, so contributions from Section 106 Agreements can be used to deliver improvements to facilities that are located some distance away from the development, such as a local town centre or major road corridor.
