Ordsall and Langworthy

Section 106 Agreements made within Ordsall and Langworthy since April 2000 have resulted in contributions of over £1,250,000* being used to deliver a number of improvements within the vicinity of the developments that provided them.

Project: Development of Monmouth Park

Monmouth Park is a small area of open space in South Ordsall, prominently located fronting Ordsall Lane. The park is a landmark feature at the southern approach to Ordsall and its improvement is seen as an important element in the ongoing regeneration of the area. Following public consultation, a scheme for improvement was designed including, new boundary fencing and entrance features, improvement and lighting of a main pedestrian and cycle path forming part of a key north-south route across Ordsall, and new tree planting.

Project: Ordsall Park Green Gym

Ordsall Park has recently seen the installation of a green gym. This project is aimed at providing facilities that can help people from wide age groups enjoy a healthier lifestyle. This project was part funded by Section 106 contributions and the PCT. The new equipment is already proving popular and is well used by people of all generations.
