Pledge 5: Promoting inclusion in Salford
We will tackle poverty and social inequalities and increase the involvement of local communities in shaping the future of the city.
This will be achieved by:
- Building strong, confident communities
- Celebrating and supporting our cultural diversity
- Improving access to services and support mechanisms for vulnerable members of the community
In 2010/11 we will be focusing our efforts on:
- Reinforcing community cohesion
- Maximising community involvement
- Delivering services that are fit for people
