Pollution control
The pollution control team aims to minimise or prevent all types of environmental pollution in Salford.
Our main roles are to:
- Inspect and regulate emissions to atmosphere from industrial processes in the city
- Provide active support and advice for all our businesses
- Provide 24 hour air quality monitoring of key pollutants
- Respond to domestic, commercial and industrial noise complaints
- Investigate complaints about smoke, dust and odours
- Carry out investigations of contaminated land
