Post adoption support services
Adopted adults (over 18 years of age)
As an experienced adoption team, we understand and recognise that adopted adults may need to obtain information about their adoption.
If you live in Salford or we were the Adoption Agency that arranged your adoption, we can help in a number of ways and offer you advice and support to do the following:
- Gain access to your original birth records
- Obtain your original birth certificate from the General Registrar's Office
- Obtain information for the purpose of tracing and facilitating contact between adoptive adults and their adult birth relatives (intermediary services)
We also work in partnership with After Adoption - Manchester, a voluntary agency who provide, on our behalf, a range of specialist services like:
- Intermediary services
- Counselling
- Helpline
