Post adoption support services - birth parents and birth relatives

Birth parents and birth relatives

As a team of experienced adoption workers, we recognise that you may wish to seek some advice and information about your situation or wish to make contact with your adult, adopted relative. If you live in Salford or we were the Adoption Agency involved with your birth relative we can help in a number of ways.

  • Advice and information
  • Help with letterbox arrangements
  • Help to write positive letters to birth children
  • Review post adoption contact arrangements

We also work in partnership with After Adoption - Manchester, a voluntary agency who provide, on our behalf a range of specialist services like:

  • Intermediary services
  • Support group for birth parents
  • Counselling
  • Helpline

Please note no information can be given about an adopted, adult relative without their written consent.
