Prohibition of waiting and amendment: Michigan Avenue, Salford Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

When the order comes into effect prohibition of waiting will be introduced on the length of road specified in Schedule A below.

When the order comes into effect The City of Salford (Michigan Avenue, Salford 5) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2001 (TRO 1136) will be amended as detailed in Schedule B below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Director of Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, 4th Floor, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, M30 0TE by the 6 September 2010. (quoting reference TRO 1568/PP/UV 499)

Schedule A

Introduction of prohibition of waiting:

Michigan Avenue, Salford, west side, from the rear of the footpath on the south side of Broadway, in a southerly direction for a distance of 50 metres.

Schedule B

The City of Salford (Michigan Avenue, Salford 5) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2001 (TRO 1136) will be amended as follows:

Michigan Avenue, east side, from its junction with Broadway, in a southerly direction, for its entire length including the turning facility whcih will be amended to read as follows:
Michigan Avenue, east side, from a point 48 metres south of its junction with Broadway, in a southerly direction, for its entire length including the turning circle.
