Prohibition of waiting: New Cross Street, Swinton order 2009

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait on the length of road specified in the schedule below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 19 February 2009 (quoting reference H/RAB/SM/UV/RTO/161).

No waiting at any time:

  • New Cross Street, Swinton, north side, from Chorley Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
  • New Cross Street, Swinton, south side, from Chorley Road in an easterly direction to a point 15 metres east of the medical centre entrance/exit.
