Prohibition of waiting: Upper Gloucester Street, Gloucester Place, Gore Street and Eades Street, Salford Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road specified in the schedule below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor c/o The Litigation Team, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by 10 May 2010. (quoting reference L/RC/UV/RTO/427)

Introduction of no waiting at any time:

Upper Gloucester Street

East side, from its junction with Broad Street, to a point 5 metres north of the northern kerbline of Gore Street.
West side, from a point 35 metres north on the northern kerbline of Broad Street, in a northerly direction for a distance of 26 metres.
West side, from a point 5 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Gloucester Place, in a northerly direction for a distance of 16 metres.

Gloucester Place

Both sides, from its junction with Upper Gloucester Street, in a westerly direction, for a distance of 5 metres.

Gore Street

South side, from its junction with Upper Gloucester Street, in an easterly direction for a distance of 32 metres.
North side, from its junction with Upper Gloucester Street, in an easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres.
North side, from a point 5 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Eades Street, in an easterly direction for a distance of 16 metres.
