Prohibition of U-Turns and Prohibition of Waiting and Peak Hour Loading/Unloading Restrictions Order 2007
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.
When the order comes into effect no person shall cause any vehicle to make a u-turn on the length(s) of road and in the directions specified in Schedule A below.
When the order comes into effect goods vehicles only will be permitted to load and unload in the loading lay-by specified and during the times specified in schedule B below.
When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time nor to load or unload between 7.00am to 9.30am and 4.00pm to 6.30pm on the lengths of road specified in schedule C below.
When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait nor to load or unload between the hours of 7.00am to 9.30am and 4.00pm to 6.30pm on the length(s) of road specified in schedule D below.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

INTRODUCTION OF NO - U TURN
- Agecroft Road, north east bound approach to the Lumns Lane junction.
- Agecroft Road, south west bound approach to the Lumns Lane junction.
Schedule B
LOADING BY GOODS VEHICLES ONLY BETWEEN 9.30AM TO 4.00PM, AND 6.30PM TO MIDNIGHT, AND MIDNIGHT TO 7.00AM
- Agecroft Road, south side from a point 58 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Park Lane West for a distance of 17 metres in an easterly direction.
Schedule C
NO WAITING AT ANYTIME AND INTRODUCTION OF PEAK HOUR LOADING RESTRICTIONS BETWEEN 7.00AM TO 9.30AM AND 4.00PM TO 6.30PM.
- Agecroft Road, north side, from a point 220 metres from Bolton Road A666 to a point 80 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Lumns Lane.
- Agecroft Road, south side, from a point 220 metres from Bolton Road A666 to a point 58 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Park Lane West.
- Agecroft Road, south side, from a point 75 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Park Lane West for a distance of 39 metres in an easterly direction.
- Agecroft Road, south side, from a point 140 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Park Lane West for a distance of 5 metres in easterly direction.
- Lumns Lane from Agecroft Road for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction.
