Regeneration Group

Langworthy & Seedley housing

The Regeneration Group is responsible for acheiving client's expenditure targets with regard to the acquistion of land and property. The team currently has a target of £11 million for Salford City Council in 2007/2008.

The group has a particular expertise in the acquisition of residential properties either by agreement or through the use of Compulsory Purchase powers and this has been invaluable in the acquisition of large numbers of properties within Central Salford to further the aspirations of the Salford / Manchester Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder.

As an example, in Langworthy & Seedley 1300+ properties have been acquired to facilitate new developments by Urban Splash, Manchester Methodists Housing Association, Salford Diocese and Salford Methodist Church, with others to follow.

Urban Splash development

The group take a lead role on the negotiations for area based Regeneration projects and are currently working with Countryside PLC, Urban Splash, In Partnership, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Legendary Properties, Miller Homes and Seddons amongst others. The group work closely with English Partnerships and The North West Development Agency in order to maximise the impact of regeneration activity within Salford.
