Consultation July/August 2007

The third and final consultation stage on the draft Salford West Strategic Regeneration Framework and Action Plan took place over a six week period in July/August 2007. The main aims of the third round of consultation were to ask for feedback from residents, councillors, private sector and statutory partners on:

  • the content of the draft framework
  • the vision
  • a list of potential actions

Over 800 consultation packs and invitations to take part in the consultation were sent out to residents and community groups, community committee members, councillors, statutory partners and the private sector.  Booklets and questionnaires were also placed in key public buildings such as libraries, community centres, council buildings and offices. Council officers attended community committee meetings as well as a number of community events and youth groups across the area to collate comments and hand out booklets. The consultation booklet and questionnaires are available below.

In total 80 questionnaires, 100 postcards and 40 letters/emails/telephone calls were received. In addition over 150 people attended displays/presentations and over 60 children and young people took part in discussions and questionnaires. The consultation summary is available for download below.
