Public Art

Working with artists brings another dimension to a scheme and is also an excellent way to involve the community in their surroundings. We have had close working relationships with environmental artists producing a variety of vibrant projects.

This method of working allows the artwork to form an integral part of the scheme instead of being a piece of work placed in the environment. Joint schemes include:

• Peel Park
• St Phillips school - redesign and environmental improvement to a primary school providing outdoor classrooms. Artworks were included in the railings and entrance features
• Ordsall Park - work with the community produced designs for mosaics and park gates
• Irwell Valley Sculpture Trail
