A-Z of waste and recyclingThere is a large variety of everyday items that can be reused or recycled and this online guide will help you know what, where and how you can do this.

Every household in Salford produces nearly a tonne of waste each year and on average, every person in the UK throws away their own body weight in rubbish every two months.

Salford City Council is committed to helping you recycle more of your household waste and reducing the amount that goes to landfill. Sending materials to landfill that could be recycled is a waste of resources, contributes to climate change and is very costly.

The way we deal with our waste has never been more important and your actions as an individual are hugely important and they do make a difference.

We hope you find this guide useful and if you would like to find out more about recycling give us a call on 0161 909 6500.

Alternatively, you can download a document version of the A-Z of waste and recycling below.
