Lessons/visits
The team can provide various lessons tailored specifically for Key Stage 1 and 2. We also offer teacher support, teacherpacks, educational resources as well as support with Eco-schools.
From our selection of Educational DVD - 'Don't Trash The Glass' and 'A New Start' are made for Primary school children. 'Don't Trash the Glass' also comes with its own worksheets and lesson plan. If you are intested in recieving on of our DVDs please contact the team.
Environmental crime education
As part of our Environmental Crime programme we encourage children to take an active role in their environment. We encourage schools to undertake a Litterpick with pupils around their grounds. This enables pupils to learn about the problems associated with litter and take responsiblilty and clean up unsightly waste. Also it is great fun.
To assist we can loan schools and other organised groups the necessary equipment. We can provide children's sized litter pickers, high visability vests and gloves. If you are interested please email the team environment@salford.gov.uk.
