Resources

Resources is led by Keith Darragh.
In order to get the best services for citizens, the directorate engages in a lot of partnership working with statutory and third sector organisations.
Some commissioning services have pooled NHS and city council budgets and some services involve multiple partners from different sectors working together - for example within the neighbourhood teams and some adult social care provision.
Management and staffing structures in some parts of the directorate straddle two or more organisations - in particular the Primary Care Trust and Mental Health Trust.
Many of the social care clients we work with receive some public funding to assist with the cost of the support they receive.
We aim to maximise their income through benefit claims, which allows us to reduce the amount we fund their support and therefore help more people.
We operate out of approximately 80 buildings. With all these complexities, we have well-developed support services to ensure the smooth-running of our front-line services.
