Road humps notice: Hilton Lane, Walkden 2009

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford in exercise of its powers under Sections 90(A) and 90(C) and 90(D) of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 intend to construct road humps in the lengths of road specified in the schedule below.

After 12 February 2009 The City of Salford (Introduction of Speed Cushions)(Hilton Lane, Walkden, Worsley) Order 2002 will no longer remain in force.

A copy of the plan and a statement of the council's reasons may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed scheme you should send the grounds of your objections in writing to the City Solicitor, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 12 February 2009 (quoting reference H/PP/UV/RTO/152.

Speed cushions - 17 sets

Cushion dimensions approximately 3.7m long, 1.7 wide and not exceeding 100mm in height

Two sets of three speed cushions located between the junctions Hilton Lane with Manchester Road East and Hilton Lane with Prescott Street.
One build out with single speed cushion and single set of three speed cushions located between junction Hilton Lane with Chapelfield Drive and Hilton Lane with Ellis Crescent.
Two sets of three speed cushions located between the junctions Hilton Lane with Hilton Bank and Hilton Lane with Hulton Avenue.
Three sets of three speed cushions located between the junctions Hilton Lane with Hulton Avenue and Hilton Lane with Calder Drive.
Two sets of three speed cushions located between the junctions Hilton Lane with Parsonage Road and Hilton Lane with Bridgewater Road.
One build out with single speed cushion and seven sets of 3 speed cushions located between the junctions Hilton Lane with Primrose Avenue and Hilton Lane with Parsonage Road.

Speed tables - 2 sets

Dimension not exceeding 100mm in height.

Speed table located at the entrance / exit to Harrop Fold School approximately 25 metres south of the junction Hilton Lane with Hulton Avenue.
