What is being done?

Reducing road casualties is being tackled through a combination of the three Es

  • Engineering (highway safety improvements at collision hotspot sites)
  • Education (including training and publicity to raise awareness/competency of specific issues)
  • Enforcement (police and safety camera enforcement)

The Road Safety team primarily has responsibility for the road safety education, road safety training and road safety publicity.

Road safety however, is the responsibility of every road user; whether you are a driver, rider, passenger, pedestrian or professional driver. When you are out on the road always THINK! Road Safety.
