Revocation of prohibition of waiting and introduction of limited waiting: Liverpool Road, Irlam Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

When the order comes into effect The County Council of Lancashire (Liverpool Road, Irlam) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1961 will be revoked insofar as it relates to schedule one below.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait for a period exceeding one hour on the length of road specified in schedule two below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Director of Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, 4th Floor, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, M30 0TE by the 14 June 2010. (quoting reference TRO 1563)

Amend:

Liverpool Road (A57) from a point 10 yards south of St John Street to Fiddlers Lane.

To read:

Liverpool Road (B5320), eastern side, from a point 10 yards south of its junction with St John Street, to its junction with Fiddlers Lane.
Liverpool Road (B5320), western side, from a point 10 yards south of its junction with St John Street, to a point 75 metres north east of its junction with Chapel Road.
Liverpool Road (B5320), western side, from a point 87 metres north east of its junction with Chapel Road, to its junction with Fiddlers Lane.

Schedule Two

Introduction of limited waiting, 1 hour no return within 2 hours:

Liverpool Road, Irlam, north west side, from a point 75 metres north east of its junction with Chapel Road, in a north-easterly direction, for a distance of 12 metres.
