Household waste recycling centres (rubbish tips)
You can dispose of domestic garden refuse and other large domestic items at any of the city's household waste recycling centres which are open seven days a week (usually 8.00am to 8.00pm in summer time and 8.00am to 6.00pm in winter time, times subject to variation without notice).
Alternatively, Salford City Council also has a bulk collection service (charges apply) which may save you a trip to the tip, see bulk collections.
If you are disposing of asbestos, please ensure it is wrapped in heavy duty plastic wrapping. You can use household rubble sacks that can be bought from your local supermarket.

The summer opening times apply between March and October. Winter opening times apply at all other times of the year.
