School admissions and transfers

Considering a school for your child for the first time or on transfer from primary to secondary school is very important.

We appreciate that parents/carers want to make an informed decision as to which school they would prefer their children to attend.

The information in this section is intended to help you through this process. However, you will still probably want to arrange a visit to see the schools that you're considering.

Secondary schools will have open days or open evenings usually held during the autumn term, but all schools welcome enquiries at any time of the year and headteachers will be happy to make arrangements for you to visit.
