High School Statutory Consultation

The public consultation process on the proposal to close St George's RC High School and linked proposals to enlarge All Hallows and St Ambrose Barlow RC high schools, as part of the BSF programme has now ended (closed 30 November 2007).

The consultation process is legally required when a council wishes to make major changes to schools.

During the consultation, 1 October until 30 November 2007, meetings were held with the governing body, staff and parents/carers of the three high schools and prospective parents from the associated primary schools, plus members of the community and other interested parties.

Officers from Salford City Council will analyse all responses and report back to Cabinet (further details will be published when confirmed).

STOP PRESS: update on Roman Catholic high school proposals released.
