School performance tables

This page will allow you to view the annual school performance tables and Ofsted reports for Salford’s schools.

The performance tables show the results of pupils in National Curriculum tests at ages 11, 14 and 16. There are also tables that show results after the age of 16, although Salford LA does not have responsibility for post-16 education.

Ofsted conducts inspections of schools, colleges and LAs. The results of these inspections are produced in public reports.

Primary School Performance Tables

These tables show the Key Stage 2 results of children at age 11 just before they leave for Secondary School. Local Authorities (LAs) publish their own tables using information supplied by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. You can access these tables using the links below.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families also publish the results for all schools on their website. You can search by school, LA or distance from a postcode. Here are the links:

Secondary School Performance Tables

These tables show the Key Stage 4 (GCSE) results of children at age 16 and the Key Stage 3 results of children at age 14. They also include a series of ‘value-added’ measures that indicate the progress that pupils have made between key stages. You can access these tables by using the links below:

Ofsted Inspection Reports

The Office for Standards in Education is a non-ministerial government department that is independent of the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It exists to improve standards of achievement and quality of education through regular independent inspection, public reporting and informed independent advice. Ofsted regularly inspects schools, colleges and LAs. Salford LA was recently inspected in August 2003.
