CPD training courses

Please note that from 1 August 2011, the partnership introduced a cancellation policy, where allocated places that are not taken up on the day will be subject to a £30 cancellation charge.

Cancellation policy

Since the introduction of the charging policy for non-attendance on courses, which was introduced in August 2011, there has been a dramatic improvement in attendance. This would indicate that managers are nominating and allocating training appropriately and have been diligent in giving training a higher priority which is fantastic, and we hope this pattern continues.

For the few managers who have unfortunately had staff unable to attend can we remind you that the agreement to provide training is with the organisation and not the individual. If you choose to re-charge staff it is the organisations responsibility to follow this up.

We will be emailing and or telephoning organisations individually to ensure we have the correct billing address for the company.

Training courses

The calendar of training courses for the previous year was well received and we had a fantastic response from partners to the online system of nominating.

You can now make nominations up to three months in advance. Course details and nomination forms can be found by clicking on the course names below.

An online evaluation form is available. Please ensure that all members of your staff complete the online evaluation following their attendance on these courses and submit it to us.

Although we cannot meet all of your organisation's training needs, we hope that this substantial calendar will support your existing training and workforce development plans.

E-learning resources

If you have been unsuccessful in securing a place on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, we are now able to supplement this training calendar with a whole range of quality e-learning materials that are social care specific and meet mandatory requirements.

Topics available include:
