Alpha Street West lifetime homes

Salford First developed 12 specially adapted bungalows and two houses, to provide lifelong homes for people with particular mobility needs. The high-tech homes all feature smart technology, including a warden call system, colour videophone and energy saving devices.

The second phase of the development started on Nadine Street site in summer 2006. This development included eight bungalows comprising six two bedroomed properties which can sleep three people, one three bedroomed property which can sleep five people and one four bedroomed property which can sleep seven people.

All the bungalows are wheelchair accessible, lifetime homes and the council’s adaptations team along with occupational therapists helped to identify suitable applicants for these properties.
