The amounts to be allocated to services in 2010/11
The council has approved a revenue budget of £220.6 million in 2010/11. The amounts to be allocated to services are shown below together with a comparison with the latest estimated costs in 2009/10.

* Sustainable Regeneration includes the management, protection, maintenance, enhancement and regeneration of the city. This comprises a number of service areas including housing, planning, transport, economic development, inward investment and regeneration.
* Reversal of capital charges: each council service is charged for the use of the buildings and other assets it uses to provide the service. It is similar to a rental charge and it is designed to give the true costs of providing a service. The total of these charges is reversed out after the net cost of services line and therefore there is no impact on the net expenditure of the council or the council tax you pay.
