Shop local and bag a surprise in Eccles.
A host of family fun will be available in July in Eccles as part of a drive to encourage people to support their local retailers.
The next event in the Shop Local campaign is the Belly dancing challenge on Saturday 24 July, 12.30-2.30pm at Eccles Shopping Mall.
It will feature displays of belly dancing and Egyptian drumming. The displays will be by:
- Professional belly dancers Michelle and Samari
- Sandstorm Bellydancers - Michelle Pender / Shop at 11 Church Street, Eccles 0161 788 9846 open Thur/Fri/Sat
- Belly Babes of Irlam - arranged via Michelle above
- Circle of Sound - Egyptain drum group also arranged via Michelle
There will be the opportunity for audience participation - to work off the effects of Eccles fritters of course!
It’s not just on Saturdays that there are great things happening in Eccles this month. For all jazz fans, Smiths restaurant is the place to be on Tuesday evenings with the chance to enjoy top quality food and drink while listening to great live performances.
We hope you’re enjoying the Shop Local campaign as much as we are. One of the highlights so far has been the deep-fried Eccles Cakes. As you can see at the links below they have certainly grabbed the media’s attention!
