Shopping and Cleaning
Some people are very happy at home, but struggle with their shopping and keeping their home clean.
If this is you, then you might want to think about employing someone to help with your shopping and cleaning. To help protect yourself, you should use an organisation which is registered with the Care Quality Commission. This means that the organisation has to meet national standards, the staff should have been checked for criminal records and that if anything goes wrong, the organisation has a proper complaints process.
This service is provided by a not-for-profit organisation called Manchester Care.
The shopping and cleaning service is for people who do not need a great deal of help at home, but are finding it difficult without any help.
How do I get the shopping and cleaning service?
You can contact Manchester Care directly or you can contact your local Community, Health and Social Care office. If you contact us, then we will pass your details on to Manchester Care.
Someone from Manchester Care will visit you, to find out what help you need. If Manchester Care can help, then they will arrange with you when you want the service.
Does the service cost?
There is a cost for shopping and cleaning, which Manchester Care will tell you about.
