Gate and Fencing Design

  • Creation of defensible space with front and rear gardens and gable end protection
  • Creation of incurtilage car parking spaces
  • Removal of bin stores and outbuildings to improve visibility & the street scene
  • A limited programme of demolition
  • Areas of new highway designed to adoptable standards including provision of cul de sacs, traffic calming measures and improved street lighting

Phase 1 commenced on-site in June 2000 and phase 7 was due for completion in January 2006. The scheme has been recognised by CABE as an exemplar scheme for this type of work.
