What is a Sure Start Children's Centre?

Salford's Sure Start Children's Centres are committed to giving your child the best start in life. They make life easier for you by offering services and information to support you and your child from pregnancy through to teenage years.

These include:

Quality registered childcare and early learning. Including 15 hours free early education for three and four year olds, which will help your child to develop and be confident when they start school. This is offered either on site or through a local setting
Parenting and family support
Antenatal and postnatal healthcare advice from health visitors and midwives, including breastfeeding support, weaning and healthy eating
Employment, training and job seeking advice from our partner Jobcentre Plus
Activities for young people
Lots of fun activities and the chance to talk to other parents and make new friends

There are centres all across the city based right in the heart of Salford's communities. Our friendly staff are always pleased to meet you, just call in to your nearest centre.
