Construction of road humps and speed plateaus notice: Broughton Lane, Moss Street, Duke Street, Alban Street, Salford 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford in exercise of its powers under Sections 90(A) and 90(C) and 90(D) of the Highways Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 propose to construct road humps and speed plateaus at the locations specified in the schedule below.

A copy of the proposed order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to object to the proposal you should send the grounds of your objections in writing to the Director of Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, 4th Floor, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, M30 0TE by the 24 June 2010 (quoting reference TRO/TCM 10-3).

Schedule 

Introduction of road humps, full width of carriageway and not exceeding 100mm in height:

  • Broughton Lane - 2 road humps.
  • Moss Street - 2 road humps.

Introduction of speed plateaus full width of the carriageway and not exceeding 100mm in height:

  • Broughton Lane - 1 plateau that incorporates the junctions of Alban Street and Lord Street.
  • Duke Street - 1 plateau that incorporates the junction of Moss Street.
  • Alban Street - 2 plateaus.
