Temporary Footpath Closure: Bridgewater Canal Towpath, Order 2005
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an oprder the effect of which will be to temporarily close a section of the Bridgewater Canal towpath, as detailed in the schedule below.
The order is required to enable the repainting of Monton Canal Bridge and will commence on 26 September 2005 for a period of 6 months until 26 March 2006. The alternative route for pedestrians will be across Parrin Lane to the west of Monton Canal Bridge and back to the Bridgewater Canal towpath.
Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours. (Ref H/ME/C/PD/RTT/1931).

Schedule
Temporary closure of the towpath on the west side of the Bridgewater Canal from a point 13 metres south east of Monton Canal Bridge/Parrin Lane for a distance of approximately 64 metres in a north westerly direction.
