Temporary Footpath Closure: River Irwell, M60 Motorway Bridge, Clifton Order 2005

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily close the section of footpath running adjacent to the River Irwell under the M60 Motorway Bridge at Clifton from a point 260 metres north west of its junction with Definitive Footpath No. 12 for a distance of 170 metres

The order is required to facilitate essential bridge strengthening works and will commence on 15 October 2005 for a period of six months until 15 April 2006. The alternative route for pedestrians will be signposted locally.

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours.  (Ref H/HLU/RTT/PD/01879).
