Temporary prohibition of driving: Agecroft Road, Swinton Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be to introduce temporarily a prohibition of driving order as per the schedule below.

The order is required to enable the contractors to install gas mains in the carriageway and will commence on 11 April 2010 for a period of four consecutive Sundays only until 9 May 2010.

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours. (Ref L/CW/KH/RTT/UV/463).

Schedule

  • Agecroft Road, Swinton, from its junction with the (A666) Bolton Road in an easterly direction only.

The alternative routes will be:

Vehicles travelling north west bound on (A666) Bolton Road wishing to turn right onto Agecroft Road will be via (A666) Bolton Road - Queensway - Rake Lane - Lumns Lane - Agecroft Road.

Vehicles travelling south bound on (A666) Bolton Road wishing to turn left onto Agecroft Road will be diverted via (A666) Bolton Road - (A6) Broad Street - (A576) Broughton Road - (A576) Cromwell Road - Langley Road South - Agecroft Road.
