Temporary prohibition of driving: The Quays, Salford Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be a temporary prohibition of driving on The Quays Road from the roundabout at the Lowry Plaza to Anchorage Quay.

The order is required to facilitate carriage resurfacing and will commence on Monday 19 July 2010 for a period of six months. The road will be closed in sections as and when required throughout the six month period to enable the resurfacing of the carriageway. The road will not be closed completely at any one time. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed via Broadway and Trafford Road.

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours. (Ref H/LH/UV/RTT/494).
