School Improvement Traded Service
As you may be aware the funding for the Primary and Secondary Strategy consultant teams will come to an end in March 2011. To further develop our thinking and principles for ways forward we would like to trial the principle of schools 'buying in' consultancy support and related services. Funding has been allocated to each school for this purpose.
Using this funding our intention is that your school will commission consultant support. This will be charged at a daily rate of £450 per day and a half day rate of £225. For other related services such as Learning Beyond the Classroom costs will be advised depending on the nature of the activity.
Our 'prospectus' to exemplify the consultant support will be emailed to schools on 15 September 2010. Please email school.improvement@salford.gov.uk to request a copy. These consultancy packages are arranged around particular themes but the consultants will welcome the opportunity to tailor their support to your school's particular context. Traded service will commence on 20 September 2010.
Please email school.improvement@salford.gov.uk to make your consultant support requests. Please indicate the appropriate prospectus choice, the number of days and an indication of when this support is required.
All requests will be responded to within five working days and only work approved by yourself or a nominated senior leader will be charged for.
