Temporary prohibition of driving: Barton Road B5211, Eccles Order 2008

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit driving on the highways stated in the schedule below.

The order is required to enable replacement of electricity cabling within the highway and under the Manchester Ship Canal and will commence on Monday 18 August 2008 for a period of 5 months until 18 January 2009. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Barton Road (B5211), Liverpool Road (A57), Church Street (A57), Irwell Place, Bentcliffe Way, Gilda Brook Road (A576) and Centenary Way (A576).

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours. (Ref H/LH/SM/UV/RTT/55).

  • Barton Road (B5211) from its junction with Peel Green Road and Barton Lane (B5230) to its junction with Old Barton Road and Redclyffe Road.
