Introduction of permit holder parking only and disabled only parking: Bingham Street, Sandy Grove, Wellington Road, Swinton Order 2009

Notice is hereby given  that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)(City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 no 894).

When the order comes into effect the 'Salford City Council (Swinton Town Centre Community Parking Scheme Experimental Prohibition of Waiting, Introduction of Permit Holder Parking, Introduction of Disabled Parking Only, Introduction of One-way Traffic system and Amendment) Confirmation Order 2009 will be amended as per schedules 'A' and 'B' below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton,Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, C/o The Litigation Team, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by 10 August 2009 (quoting reference H/PP/RTO/UV/257)

Schedule 'A'

  • Introduction of permit holders ony parking Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 4.00pm

Schedule 'B' to include

Bingham Street both sides - from a point 10 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Pendlebury Road to its cul-de-sac end.

Sandy Grove both sides - from its junction with Pendlebury Road to its cul-de-sac end.  

Schedule 'B'

Introduction of disabled only parking Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 6.00pm

Schedule 'D' to include

Wellington Road - west side from a point 20 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Swinton Hall Road in a southerly direction for 28.5 metres.
