Highways Act 1980, Section 118B Salford City Council (alleyways to the rear of Catherine Street, Worsley Road, and Beaufort Street, Salford)

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford (“the Council”) made the abovementioned Order on 3rd February 2006, under Section 118B of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order will be to extinguish the right of way over the land situated at Catherine Street, Worsley Road and Beaufort Street, Salford, as specified in the Schedule below and shown on the plan annexed to the Order.

The Order is required for the purposes of preventing or reducing crime which would otherwise disrupt the life of the community.

A copy of the Order and the plan annexed to it may be inspected free of charge at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Swinton M27 5DA between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Copies of this Order may be obtained at a reasonable charge.

Any representation or objection made to the Order may be sent in writing to the City Solicitor, (quoting reference H/ME/SM/SEO/HS/7230) at the abovementioned address before 9th March 2006 and should state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order itself instead of submitting it to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any representation or objection that has been duly made and not withdrawn will be transmitted with the Order.

Alleyway to the rear of 31 – 57 Catherine Street and 334 – 362a Worsley Road, Salford marked ‘A’ on the plan attached to the Order, a total area of 277.67 square metres.

Alleyway to the rear of 18 – 44 Catherine Street and 1 – 15 Beaufort Street, Salford marked ‘B’ on the plan attached to the Order, a total area of 233.35 square metres.
