Gating Order 2007
On 4th May 2007 the Council of the City of Salford made the above-mentioned Order under Section 129A of the Highways Act 1980.
The Order which comes into effect on 11th May 2007 restricts the public right of way over the highways specified in the schedule below at all times.
The right of way will not be restricted for use by the occupiers of premises adjoining or adjacent to the relevant highways. Occupiers will retain their right of way by access to keys to the lockable gates.
The alternative route for members of the public will be to use the pavement at the front of the properties.
A copy of the Order together with a plan outlining the restrictions may by inspected at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Details can be viewed online. Plan reference (H/RC/HS/SEO/9181).
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Highways Act 1980 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within 6 weeks from apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Alleyway to the rear of 2-20 Southam Street, 2-18 Dorothy Street, 18-28 Orient Street, and the area of land to the side of 18 Dorothy Street. A total area of 326m2.
