Experimental Prohibition of Waiting: Gilchrist Road and Bessemer Road, Cadishead, Salford Order 2006

Notice is hereby given that on 21 July 2006  the council of the city of Salford made the abovementioned order under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order which comes into effect on 4th August 2006 shall introduce Prohibition of Waiting on the length of road specified in the schedule below for a period of 18 months until 4 February 2008.

A copy of the order, together with a plan showing the area affected may be examined at the  Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton,Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

The council of the city of Salford will consider in due course whether the provisions of that order should be continued in force indefinitely.  You may object to this within six months from 4 August 2006 by stating the grounds of the objection in writing to the City Solicitor, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA (quoting reference H/PP/SM/C/PD/RTO/02305).

Schedule

No Waiting At Any Time

Gilchrist Road:

  • West side from the junction with the northerly kerbline of Brinell Drive for a distance of 611 metres in a north westerly then northerly direction.
  • West side from the junction with the southerly kerbline of Excalibur Way for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction.
  • East side from the junction with the southerly kerbline of Excalibur Way to a point 107 metres south west of the junction with the southerly kerbline of Bessemer Road.
  • East side from the junction with the northerly kerbline of Brinell Drive for a distance of 69 metres in a north westerly direction.
  • East side from a point 129 metres north west of the junction with the northerly kerbline of Brinell Drive for a distance of 40 metres in a north westerly direction.

Bessemer Road:

  • Both sides from the junction with the easterly kerbline of Gilchrist Road for a distance of 70 metres in an easterly direction.
