Amendment and introduction of off street parking places and limited waiting order 2009
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections1, 2, 4, 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for the County of Greater Manchester and in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the said Act of 1984.
When the order comes into effect schedule 2 of the existing Hope Hospital Phase 1, Resident’s Parking Scheme Order (permit holders only parking places) will be amended as specified in schedule 1 below.
When the order comes into effect off street parking places and limited waiting provisions will be introduced as specified in schedule 2 below.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.
If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, c/o The Litigation Team, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by 12 October 2009 (quoting reference H/ME/UV/RTO/324)

Amendment of schedule 2 permit holders only parking places of the city of Salford Hope Hospital Phase 1 Introduction of Residents Parking Scheme Order 2003 as follows:
The reference to the position in which vehicles may wait in the permit holder bays, on Stott Lane, Salford 6 is to read as follows:
Part of road authorised as a street parking place:
- Permit holders only bays Stott Lane, Salford 6
Position in which vehicle may wait:
- Western layby from a point 79 metres south of the southern kerbline of Eccles Old Road, for a distance of 26 metres in a southerly direction
- Western layby from a point 79 metres south of the southern kerbline of Meadowgate Road for a distance of 27 metres in a southerly direction
Person authorised to use such parking place:
- Residents or visitors in possession of a valid permit
Day and hours of operation of parking place:
Schedule 2
Introduction of off street parking place and limited waiting one hour no return within two hours Monday to Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm and Saturday 8.00am – 1.00pm:
- Off street car park situated to the south of Eccles Old Road, between the new access road adjacent to property 189 Eccles Old Road and the Hope Hospital access.
