Introduction of prohibition of waiting and loading restrictions, mandatory 24 hour cycle lane and revocation and amendment, Order 2009
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
When the order comes into effect no waiting and loading restrictions will be introduced on the length of road specified in schedule 'A' below.
When the order comes into effect a mandatory 24 hour cycle lane will be introduced on the length of carriageway specified in schedule 'B' below.
When the order comes into effect the orders specified in schedule 'C' below will be revoked.
When the order comes into effect 'The City of Salford (Liverpool Street)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1974' and 'The City of Salford (Oldfield Road)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1973' will be amended as per schedule 'D' below.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday inclusive.
If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, C/o The Litigation Team, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by 2 July 2009 (quoting reference H/PP/RTO/UV/291).
Schedule A
Introduction of no waiting at any time and loading restrictions
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 9.30am and 4.00pm - 6.30pm
- Oldfield Road, both sides, from the northern kerbline of Barlow Road to Cow Lane
- Liverpool Street, north side, from the eastern kerbline of Craven Street to Oldfield Road
- Liverpool Street, south side, from the eastern kerbline of Clare Street to Oldfield Road
- Wilburn Street, both sides, from Middlewood Street/Hampson Street for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction
- East Ordsall Lane, both sides, from Middlewood Street/Hampson Street for a distance of 59 metres in a northerly direction

Introduction of mandatory 24 hour cycle lane
- Middlewood Street, both sides, from Oldfield Road to East Ordsall Lane/Wilburn Street
- Hampson Street, both sides, from Trinity Way to East Ordsall Lane/Wilburn Street
- Oldfield Road, both sides, from Barlow Road to Cow Lane
- East Ordsall Lane, both sides, from Middlewood Street/Hampson Street to a point 73 metres south of the southern elevation of the railway viaduct across East Ordsall Lane
- Liverpool Street, north side, from the eastern kerbline of Craven Street to Oldfield Road
- Liverpool Street, south side, from the eastern kerbline of Clare Street to Oldfield Road
