Prohibition of waiting and limited waiting: Mount Street/North Hill Street, Salford Order 2007

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument  2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road specified in the schedule 1 below.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait on the length of road specified in schedule 2 below for a period exceeding 1 hour, no return within 2 hours.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 10 January 2008 (quoting reference H/RC/RTO/PD/02963).

Schedule 1

Introduction of no waiting at any time

  • Mount Street, west side, from its junction with Blackfriars Road, for its full length.
  • Mount Street, east side, from its junction with Blackfriars Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 60 metres.
  • Mount Street, east side, from a point 10 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Wadlow Close to a point 10 metres south west of the south western kerbline of Wadlow Close.
  • Mount Street, east side, from a point 10 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Turbury Way in a south westerly direction to its cul-de-sac end and across the turning head.
  • Wadlow Close, both sides, from the eastern kerbline of Mount Street, for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.
  • Tudbury Way, both sides, from the eastern kerbline of Mount Street for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.
  • North Hill Street, from the north western kerbline of Mount Street in a north westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

Schedule 2

Introduction of limited waiting 1 hour no return within 2 hours

  • Mount Street, east side, from a point 60 metres south of the junction with Blackfriars Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
  • Mount Street, east side, from a point 10 metres south west of the south western kerbline of Wadlow Close in a south westerly direction for a distance of 23 metres.
