Amendment of Prohibition of Waiting Restrictions and Introduction of Limited Waiting: Quays Road, Salford Order 2007

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument  2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect The City of Salford (The Quays and Waterfront Quays, Salford 5) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1992 will be amended as detailed in schedule 1 below.

When the order comes into effect limited waiting will be introduced on the length of road specified in schedule 2 below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Assistant Director (Legal), Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 5 April 2007 (quoting reference H/PP/ET/C/PD/RTO/02594).

Prohibition of Waiting

Amend

  • The Quays from a point 150 metres north west of the quays roundabout in a south westerly, north westerly and north easterly direction to its junction with Broadway.

To read:

  • The Quays from a point 340 metres south west and north west of Trafford Road to its junction with Broadway excluding the quays, west side, in the lay-by from a point 10 metres north of the roundabout located 30 metres west of the western kerbline of Winnipeg Quay for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction.

Limited waiting 20 minutes no return within 20 minutes

  • The Quays, west side, in the lay-by from a point 10 metres north of the roundabout located 30 metres west of the western kerbline of Winnipeg Quay for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction.
