Temporary prohibition of driving: Churchill Way, Cross Lane, The Crescent, Adelphi Street, Silk Street and Great Clowes Street, Salford Order 2008

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit driving on Churchill Way, Cross Lane, The Crescent, Adelphi Street, Silk Street and Great Clowes Street as detailed in the schedule below.

The order is required to enable a Remembrance Sunday Parade to take place and will commence on Sunday 9 November 2008 for a period of one day until Monday 10 November 2008. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed via Albion Way, Liverpool Street and Oldfield Road, Salford.

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours.  (Ref H/ME/RTT/UV/151).

  • Churchill Way, Salford for its entire length.
  • Cross Lane, Salford from its junction with Churchill Way to its junction with Broad Street.
  • The Crescent, Salford from its junction with Broad Street to its junction with Oldfield Road.
  • Adelphi Street, Salford for its entire length.
  • Silk Street, Salford for its entire length.
  • Great Clowes Street, Salford from Silk Street to Clarence Street.
